In June, Feel Good Charities paid it forward by supporting the Greater Scranton YMCA with a donation of $7,000. This donation was made possible, in part, thanks to proceeds from June sales at Feel Good Motors. Each month Feel Good donates a portion of sales to local organizations that support the community. June's donation will allow the YMCA to offer a new program, entitled Summer Scholars, free of charge, to rising first graders to get them on track to read at or above grade level by the start of their next school year.

We had a great time serving as guest readers in the YMCA Summer Scholars program at Mid Valley Elementary Center on July 14th. The day prior students visited Steamtown to learn all about trains. They also created a train memento out of popsicle sticks which will include their picture and entry ticket from their trip. Then, we read The Little Engine That Could to them. These activities are all part of the transportation unit they are studying.
